The Deakin Estate vineyard and winery complex is at Red Cliffs, in the Murray Valley of North West Victoria. It has 350 hectares (865 acres) under vine. It is warm and sunny with the great Murray River bringing life to the region. Efforts are focused on producing fruit of the highest quality and expressive wines brimming with flavour and varietal character.

Brut NV

This ideal aperitif and celebration wine is perfect for enjoying with caviar, oysters and lightly flavoured white fish.


Sauvignon Blanc 2004

This wine is best enjoyed young for its zesty, youthful freshness. Serve lightly chilled. Classic food matches are oysters and goat's cheese but things such as white fish, shellfish, chicken, asparagus, risotto and Asian dishes would also be delicious with this wine.

Chardonnay 2004
A delicious silky wine drinking well now and may also be enjoyed with 2 or 3 years age. A great accompaniment to seafood, poultry, white meats and soft cheeses
 
 
Merlot 2002
 
  Very appealing drinking now, this wine will improve with medium term cellaring (3-4 years). Enjoy with risotto, quail, pasta and pizza.  

 

Shiraz 2003

 
 

This wine is delicious now but will improve with medium term cellaring (3-5 years). Ideal with red meats, pizza and anything spicy.

 

 

Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

 
 

Very appealing to drink now, this wine will improve with medium term cellaring (up to 3 years). An excellent accompaniment to red meat dishes, pasta and cheeses.
